CHAR Restaurant at Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road offers a wonderful dining experience that is sure to tantalise the taste buds of the most discerning of diners. We were invited to sample a duo of sharing platters created by Chef Jamie ‘Jimmy’ Rojas, which present diners with premium cuts of beef as well as a delectable assortment of fresh seafood.

 

Stepping into CHAR Restaurant, guests are immediately greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere coupled with jaw-dropping views of downtown Bangkok, especially beautiful in the late afternoon as the sun begins to set. The modern décor, with its sleek lines and cosy lighting, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.

While the menu features a bounty of sublime dishes and desserts, the highlight is undoubtedly the amazing sharing platters. Designed for couples and groups looking to indulge in a wide variety of flavours, these platters are a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The inclusion of premium cuts of beef such as Australian Wagyu tenderloin, flank steak and Angus 150 days grain-fed ribeye, ensures a luxurious and succulent meat feast.

 

The Australian Wagyu tenderloin steals the show with its impeccable marbling, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a rich, buttery flavour. The flank steak, cooked to perfection, boasts a robust and hearty taste that is bound to satisfy meat lovers, whilst the Angus 150 days grain-fed ribeye impresses with its well-balanced marbling and intense, juicy flavours.

Meanwhile, the fresh seafood selection of sea bass, salmon, Japanese scallops and tiger prawns is almost a meal in itself. The seafood is sourced with utmost care, guaranteeing freshness and exceptional quality. The delicately cooked sea bass and salmon offer a tender and moist texture, which is further complemented by their distinct flavours. The Japanese scallops, gently seared to retain their sweetness, provide a delicate taste that is truly a treat for the senses. The tiger prawns, with their succulent flesh, complete the seafood medley.

The attentive and knowledgeable staff at CHAR Restaurant really do their bit to make everyone’s dining experience one to remember. They are well-versed in the menu offerings and are more than happy to assist with recommendations and provide insights into the various cuts of beef and seafood options. The restaurant was fairly busy during our dinner, but the service remained prompt and efficient, and was delivered with a genuine warmth.

 

While Thailand’s capital is home to hundreds of tantalising eateries, CHAR Restaurant at Hotel Indigo Bangkok is a must-visit for discerning food enthusiasts seeking a contemporary grill experience.
