The Okura Prestige Bangkok invites guests to embrace the warmth and splendour of the summer season with its enchanting new Hana Afternoon Tea. Launching on 1st July at Up & Above Restaurant and Bar, this vibrant experience captures the essence of Japan’s celebrated summer flower season. Taking its name from ‘Hana’, the Japanese word for flower, the afternoon tea draws inspiration from the rolling lavender fields of Hokkaido in full bloom.
Offering an elegant escape where sophisticated city living meets the sun-kissed beauty of nature, every detail has been thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of summertime wanderlust. From its floral-inspired presentation to its seasonal flavours, the experience celebrates the beauty of summer and provides the perfect setting for a refined afternoon gathering.

The culinary journey unfolds through a collection of beautifully crafted delicacies inspired by the vivid colours of a summer garden. The savoury selection begins with a distinctive combination of Lanna Longan, savoury furikake and creamy mascarpone, followed by Organic Beetroot Jam complemented by vegan onion cream and honey. Guests can also enjoy a refreshing Tom Kah Mousse paired with Kuro Ebiko in a crisp tartlet, alongside an interactive and texture-rich Taberu Niboshi with ginger gel, served in a delicate panipuri. This harmonious fusion of local influences and Japanese craftsmanship sets a luxurious tone for the afternoon.
The sweet selection is a visual delight, showcasing the vibrant purples and soft pastel hues of the flowering season. Highlights include a bright and zesty Lemon Poppy Seed Roll, a velvety Blueberry Cheesecake, and an intricately crafted Exotic Pavlova. Celebrating the floral aromas of summer, the pastry team has created fragrant Chamomile Namelaka Cookies and signature Yuzu Lavender Scones, inspired by the scent of a lavender field in bloom. The indulgent finale features nutty Purple Sweet Potato & Black Sesame Macarons, refreshing Blackcurrant Yoghurt, a comforting Taro Mochi Chocolate Tart, and a luxurious Chocolate Hojicha Banoffee Bon Bon.

The Hana Afternoon Tea offers a captivating sanctuary of flavour and refinement, surrounded by the hotel’s signature panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline. It is priced at Bt2,200++ per set of two persons. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of summer elegance at Up & Above Restaurant and Bar between 2pm – 5pm.
