Trisara continues to strengthen its long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship through the active protection of sea turtle nesting grounds along Mai Khao Beach in Phuket. By thoughtfully integrating ecological responsibility into the guest experience, the resort reinforces the idea that true luxury is rooted in a genuine respect for place.
Since 2016, Trisara has played an active role in the Mai Khao Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Declaration, contributing to meaningful ecological progress over the years. The resort has supported the successful return of more than 449 hatchlings to the Andaman Sea, while its quiet and well-preserved beachfront has proven to be a safe haven for nesting. In 2018, two green turtles (Chelonia mydas) selected the beach as a nesting site, resulting in eight nests, a milestone that reflects the effectiveness of ongoing habitat protection efforts. Maintaining clean, undisturbed conditions remains central to encouraging the return of mother turtles in the future.

Looking ahead, Trisara is expanding its environmental initiatives to further connect luxury hospitality with scientific understanding. A Marine Discovery Centre, scheduled for completion in 2027, will serve as an immersive gateway to the resort’s natural surroundings, offering experience-led learning designed to bring conservation efforts to life for guests.
These sustained efforts have not gone unnoticed. On 13th April 2026, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) recognised Trisara’s contribution at the 17th Mai Khao Marine Turtle Release event, awarding the resort a certificate of appreciation.

Panjama Leamsuwan, Chief Experience Officer of Trisara, was also honoured with the prestigious “Rak Talay Ying Cheep” (“Saving the Sea”) medal, recognising her leadership in protecting marine ecosystems and preserving the coastal habitats of the Andaman region.
Guests are invited to engage more deeply with the surrounding environment through the resort’s “Nature Discovery: Coral to Canopy” programme, which explores the richness of the ecosystem from reef to forest. Through these initiatives, Trisara fosters a sense of connection between guests and nature, ensuring that both can coexist in harmony while safeguarding the natural environment it considers a precious jewel.
