Fusion Hotel Group, a leading wellness-inspired hospitality brand headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, has been acquired by Suchad Chiaranussati, Founder and Chairman of SC Capital Partners. The acquisition marks a pivotal moment for Fusion as it embarks on an ambitious new phase of growth across Asia.
Suchad Chiaranussati, who also owns Hotel Management Japan (HMJ) and Indonesia-based Topotels Hotels & Resorts, brings a wealth of hospitality investment and operational expertise to the group. The integration of Fusion into this broader ecosystem is expected to unlock significant synergies, further strengthening its position as a leading lifestyle and wellness hospitality platform across the region.

Founded in 2008, Fusion Hotel Group has built a strong reputation for its distinctive wellness-driven concepts, currently operating 18 properties with approximately 3,000 keys across Vietnam and Thailand. The group also boasts a robust development pipeline of more than 2,000 keys. Beyond hotel management, Fusion has expanded into branded residences, an increasingly important and fast-growing segment within the Asia Pacific hospitality market.
Following the acquisition, Fusion will join forces with HMJ and Topotels to create a combined portfolio of approximately 16,000 keys across four key Asian markets. Supported by a team of more than 100 hospitality professionals, the platform is well positioned to deliver a comprehensive, pan-Asian offering that blends local expertise with international standards.

“Investment in Fusion reflects our long-term strategy to expand our hospitality footprint across Asia,” said Suchad. “Fusion offers a meaningful presence in Vietnam – one of the region’s fastest-growing and high-barrier-to-entry hospitality markets. It reinforces our conviction that strong operating platforms are increasingly essential to successful real estate investing. We are excited to integrate Fusion with our leading teams in Japan and other markets as we build a top-tier pan-Asian hotel management business.”
Echoing this optimism, Christopher Hur, Chief Executive Officer of Fusion Hotel Group, highlighted the strategic benefits of the partnership. “Joining SC Capital Partners’ hospitality ecosystem opens up tremendous opportunities for Fusion. This partnership allows us to accelerate our growth across Asia, leverage shared focus areas such as technology, marketing and distribution, and invest further in brand development and talent, strengthening our mission to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences.”

SC Capital Partners brings more than two decades of experience in hospitality investment and asset management across Asia Pacific. The firm is also the sponsor of Japan Hotel REIT Advisors, which manages the largest listed hotel REIT in Japan by hotel value, overseeing 78 hotels and more than 22,000 rooms nationwide. Complementing this investment platform, HMJ operates 26 hotels with over 8,000 keys across 11 prefectures, including its flagship Oriental Hotels & Resorts brand, while also providing white-label management services for global operators such as Hilton, Marriott, and IHG. Meanwhile, Topotels continues to expand its footprint across Indonesia, further strengthening the group’s regional presence.
With this acquisition, Fusion Hotel Group is poised to accelerate its expansion and innovation, reinforcing its position at the forefront of Asia’s evolving wellness and lifestyle hospitality sector while contributing to the creation of a dynamic, integrated hotel management platform across the region.
