Stella, Capella Bangkok’s glamorous riverfront cocktail boudoir, turns the leaf to an exciting new chapter by introducing Roberto Castro Rodriguez as its new Beverage Manager. Spearheading the upcoming relaunch of Stella’s refreshed cocktail programme, Roberto aims to deliver a fresh experience at Stella, showcased through a new creative menu brimming with vibrant flavours, high craftsmanship and the cultural charm of the storied Charoenkrung neighbourhood that unfurls from the bar’s doorstep.

 

Hailing from Mexico, Roberto’s previous postings included the W Doha Hotel and Residences in Qatar, where, as the Beverage Manager, he oversaw the development of an inspiring drink programme for the hotel’s award-winning bar and restaurant outlets, including Market by Jean Georges, La Spiga by Papermoon and famed Latin-influenced COYA. Roberto brings his signature take on cocktails injected with vibrant Latin flavours to Bangkok, which he aims to fuse with the unique heritage of the Thai capital’s historic district.

 

 

“I am delighted to be a part of the Capella Bangkok team. Even though it’s my first time here in Thailand, I am already wildly inspired by the vibrant culture and flavours of the country. I cannot wait for them to inspire an exciting new chapter for Stella,” said Roberto.

 

Not only will innovative drinks reinterpret Charoenkrung’s cultural charm, but Roberto will also further incorporate sustainable practices into the bar and the hotel’s beverage operations. “Drinking shouldn’t only be about personal enjoyment but also help support local communities and the environment,” he added.
