Range Of Southern Italian Classics

Ms.Jigger, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok’s contemporary Italian restaurant, has unveiled a mouthwatering new range of southern Italian classics from Chef Davide Calo, adding even more variety to its already impressive range of dishes.

 

The tastes of southern Italy are second nature to Chef Davide who was born and raised in the region’s San Cesario di Lecce. His respect for his native cuisine and commitment to sourcing the best ingredients, combined with more than two decades’ culinary experience, produce an authentic celebration of the flavour-packed southern Italian dining experience.

 

 

Chef Davide’s new southern Italian delicacies include such highlights as:

 

• Carpaccio di Manzo – Fresh beef carpaccio accented by freshly squeezed lemon and topped with aioli, rocket leaves and truffle.
• Vitello Tonnato – Thinly sliced slow-cooked veal loin, tuna sauce and capers enhanced with delicate balsamic caviars.
• Taleggio e Salsiccia – Risotto with Taleggio cheese, red wine jus and flavourful sausage.

 

 

• Zafferano e Burrata – Decadent saffron risotto crowned with creamy burrata and tomato confit.
• Al Ragu Di Agnello – Paccheri pasta with lamb ragout and rich goat cheese.
• Salmone Con Caponata – Pan-seared salmon with caponata vegetables and fragrant crustacean sauce.
• Alle Melanzane – Fresh-out-the-oven pizza slathered in tomato sauce and buffalo mozzarella with crispy breaded eggplant atop.

 

 

• Crépes Con Crema Alle Nocciole – Thin crêpes served with luscious hazelnut custard cream and caramelised seasonal fruits

 

The restaurant’s sommelier has handpicked the perfect wine selections to complete the 360-degree Italian gourmet dining experience, representing his in-depth expertise in wine theory, grape identification, wine-tasting mastery, wine-food pairings and service technique.

 

 

Ms.Jigger is open from Monday to Friday for lunch from 11.30am – 2.30pm and dinner from 5.30pm – midnight. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 11.30am – midnight.
