Discerning diners are invited to Shang Palace Chinese Restaurant at Shangri-La Bangkok as Executive Chinese Chef Tan Kwan Aik presents a rare delicacy in the culinary world, White Asparagus, which is featured in his limited special seasonal menu.

 

White Asparagus is sweeter and more tender than its green counterpart. Grown beneath the ground and harvested at night to limit exposure to sunlight, these Asparagus maintain their special white complexion. On are the menu are three must-try White Asparagus dishes curated by Chef Tan and include Sautéed White Asparagus with Yunnan Ham and Garlic Pulp (Bt980++), Braised Fish Maw with White Asparagus in White Chicken Broth (Bt1,280++) and Pan-Seared Hokkaido Scallops with White Asparagus and Truffle (Bt1,980++).
