Le Beaulieu, the award-winning modern french fine dining venue at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, was named one of Vietnam’s top 25 restaurants in the acclaimed Robb Report Gourmet Collection 2023.

The honour, announced in Ho Chi Minh City, put Le Beaulieu alongside other luminaries of Vietnam’s high-end culinary scene, including restaurants spotlighted in the Michelin Guide, the international gold standard for fine dining. Robb Report is a luxury lifestyle magazine headquartered in America – with popular local versions, including in Vietnam – that bills itself as “synonymous around the world with the best of the best.”

The signature restaurant at Metropole Hanoi, Le Beaulieu spotlights modern French gastronomy with nods to classical French flavours and an emphasis on seasonality and superior ingredients. Its inventive approach both to cuisine and service is enhanced by a chef-driven perspective. While there are some traditional French touches, the presentation is stylish, with well-balanced portions and fresh produce from France, Vietnam and elsewhere.

Chef de Cuisine Charles Degrendele’s new tasting menu at Le Beaulieu epitomises his culinary vision in three words: sustainable, innovative and simple. Each dish is a chapter in a culinary story, carefully curated to maintain a logical flow of textures and flavours.
