Blue Elephant Blood

Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant Phuket, in collaboration with Thai Red Cross Phuket and the National Blood Donation sector of Phuket, recently made the restaurant available as a venue for blood donations at which some 16,550 millilitres of blood was collected.

 

The precious plasma will help support the Thai Red Cross Phuket who is in urgent need of blood to tackle with the Covid-19 pandemic as well as in commemoration of the passing of King Rama IX the Great. Diners at Blue Elephant who donated blood on that particular day were offered a 10% discount on food.

 

On hand to supervise the proceedings were Kim Steppe, CEO of Blue Elephant Group; Mrs. Nathaporn Choowong, Vice President of the National Blood Donation sector;  Rear Admiral Saroj Boonthub, Deputy Naval Commander Division 3; who were joined by 45 officers from Battalion 11; Naval Military Police Division 4; HTMS Mamsing; and Royal Thai Navy Division 3 respectively.
