Journey Through The Vineyards Of Sicily

Explore the fruits of the stunning Mediterranean island of Sicily this month as Theo Mio at InterContinental Bangkok offers diners the chance to taste a selection of its award-winning wines.

Theo Mio brings the rich flavours of Sicily, the famed Southern Italian island, to Bangkok’s bustling metropolis with the five-course Planeta Winery Dinner, held for one night only on 27th September 2019, and featuring special guest Santi Planeta, owner of the Planeta winery.

Founded in 1995 on the picturesque island of Sicily, Planeta is a family-run series of winery that produces some of the world’s most renowned wines. Starting from the family estates of Menfi, Planeta then expanded to Vittoria, Noto and Etna, before opening up their latest winery on Capo Milazzo. Each territory offers its own unique natural scenery, ideal for cultivating a wide array of grapes, distinct in flavour, colour and texture.

Thanks to their presence in the five territories, Planeta has become something of a wine lover’s ideal tour, and simultaneously a journey through Sicily’s most breath-taking landscapes. Now diners can experience this wine tour for themselves, through the mouth-watering dishes created by the Theo Mio’s Italian Kitchen, paired with one of Planeta’s award-winning wines.

Additionally, Planeta owner Santi Planeta, will be guiding diners throughout the meal, personally introducing his family’s wines for every course, and providing intriguing insights into the creation of these famous vintages.
